The Mess Hall AKA The Messy Balls are back! But did they ever really leave us? I doubt it. They’ve been in the hearts and minds of all Australians – young and old – since their inception, and haven’t gone anywhere since. Except for that time off they took after winning the AMP in 2007 for Devils Elbow.

But besides that one instance, they’re generally harder workers than the combined sweat shop staffs on all three Nike Islands. The proof of this hard work is evident in the lack of “fucking around time” spent between Devils Elbow and their upcoming new record, For The Birds, which was once again produced by the “hottie foreigner” from Gerling, Burke Reid.

The charming people at team Ivy League were kind enough to send us the first single from the record, “Bell”, to share with you all. Ring-a-ding ding. The tune won’t be hitting radio (old school technology) until September 15th – so consider this your first official insight into what the future sounds like.
