Modeselektor select Thom Yorke
After being under Harry’s spell all weekend, I finally got the chance to slip back into the fast-paced world of the information super highway, better known as ‘the internet’. What did I miss in the music world while I was gone? Not a hell of a lot (even some festival-goers tried killing two birds with one stone), but some digital treats did come by that were way too good to pass up.
One of these being the new track “The White Flash” by Berlin electro bad asses Modeselektor. Admittedly, I wouldn’t have even known about the song or the band itself if the track didn’t feature the haunting guest vocals of their most famous fan, Thom Yorke. Since any real news about Radiohead’s LP7 has been scarce at best I instantly lapped this blipfest up, which sounds like it could have easily come from The Eraser’s B-side companion EP, Spitting Feathers.
