Roll up, Roll up! The video for the carnival-esque third Young Mondern single, “If You Keep Losing Sleep”, is nothing short of a circus! Directed by the fine folks who gave us the video for “Reflections of a Sound”, Damon Escott and Stephen Lance have produced an ‘electrifying’ (groan) video featuring a 30 piece orchestra, 10 tap dancers, 5 circus performers, 3 drummer boys, a marching band and a lot of lightning (thank you press release). All that’s really missing is a guy selling you three-year-old dagwood dogs from his van, which also doubles as his house.

With all of the electricty and disappearing and what not, it kind of reminds me of The Prestige. Which just reminds me of The Illusionist

Syms, we’re positively honoured about your title for us.

How can we ever repay you?

Don’t make the blog shit, that would be a good start. Also it’s true; the post about bands designing classic book covers confirmed it. And it’s causing me to soften on the White Stripes – not Dappled Cities yet though…
