Hobo Finn to Tour Australia

After living in London for the past couple of years, Liam “Son of Neil” Finn will finally embark on his first proper tour of Australia with quite a large number of shows around the country. I’ve seen Liam play with his band Betchadupa on many an occasion and they never disappoint so I’m sure this time around will be no exception. Joining him on stage that evening will also be Sydney trio, The Red Sun Band, who have finally released an EP titled Like An Arrow (out November 24th through their own label; Enchanted Recordings) as a follow up to 2004’s LP, Peapod.

Last time I saw Betchadupa at the Oxford they were awesome. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen a band do a genuine unplanned encore. They played really well and got a big cheer, so Liam came back on stage looking both confused and chuffed and they finished up with ‘Double d”. ‘Twas nice. Liam plus Will Oldham beard equals 1337 haxxor aoems.
a few years ago, granddaddy were the only musos to have beards (besides brian wilson). now, it’s everywhere. what’s going on?
I think it’s like the little ponytail; it started as a joke and then became a sick fascination.
